Our Name

School is plural in our name to signify that this group includes alumni of all St. Paul Schools. As some readers will recall, until 1947 St. Paul had two public schools, St. Paul Public and St. Francis. In 1947, these two districts along with surrounding districts were combined to form St. Paul Public School. We hope alumni from all these schools enjoy this website and become active members of The Association.

"& Friends" in our name recognizes that our group includes all supporters of St. Paul Schools. Alumni and spouses, anyone who attended St. Paul Schools, parents of students currently enrolled, current and former staff members, may all support The Association's mission. We welcome all of our friends and did not want our name to exclude anyone.
